A two-day woodland wellbeing and bushcraft course for young people (ages 12–16)
Service Description
Wild Pathfinders offers young people the opportunity to step away from screens, connect with nature, and learn valuable life skills in a safe and supportive woodland environment. Led by experienced practitioners, the course combines practical outdoor learning with time to relax and enjoy the benefits of being in the woods. Safe tool use – supervised introduction to knives and hand tools Coppicing and woodland care – learning techniques for woodland maintenance and understanding why we do it Den building, knots, whittling your own tent pegs Green woodwork – crafting simple items from freshly cut wood Natural firelighting – learning safe fire-making techniques using local organic materials On the first day of the two day course, the young people will be learning skills and getting to know each other. On the second day they will be given the tools and equipment to go off in their sub tribe, build a natural shelter and make their own lunch on the fire. Please bring a packed lunch on the first day.
